Ultimate Coordinator | | Variable Fighter Squadron 102 (SVF-102), also known as the "Diamondbacks", is a UN Spacy Fleet VF-11D Super Thunderbolt fighter squadron stationed with the Macross-27 Colony Fleet. They are a part of Carrier Air Wing 127 and their cattail code is DB, and launches from the Macross Trinity Command Battle Carrier.The Diamondbacks are the primary patrol squadron of the Macross-27 Colony Fleet, assigned to CAP and escort missions during combat operations. The Diamondbacks have a long history with Variable Fighters, being one of the first squadrons assigned to the SDF-1 Macross to fly the versatile mecha. The squadron continues its illustrious service with the Macross-27 Fleet.

They are a part of Carrier Air Wing 127 and their catail code is GR, and launches from the Macross Trinity Command Battle Carrier. Currently the most experienced and aggressive squadron in the Macross-27 Colony Fleet, the veterans of the Ghostriders takes on the most dangerous missions, from deep-space and planetary recon to anti-warship or close-support strikes, to strategic bombing missions.
